Looks like I'm a little late to the review party.
I recieved the Haulin' Hooks and basically what everyone else is saying is dead on. It definately made a difference for me when I was doing heavy low reps of rack pulls and my grip was my limiting factor.

Haulin' Hooks Review
The Haulin' Hooks are great. The first thing I noticed was how comfortable they are. Even when deadlifting a lot of weight they did not hurt my wrists. When just using the straps I found them to be much more effective than traditional lifting straps. This probably has to do with the way they attach to the wrist. They appear to be manufactured of high quality materials, and I think they will last a long time. I like having the straps and the hooks as options. What I have been doing is to put on the Haulin' Hooks before performing deadlifts. I will do as many reps as possible without using the straps or hooks. Then I will use the straps, and knock out 1-2 more reps. Then I use the hooks, and knock out 1-2 more.
Overall it is a great product...I would recommend them to anyone looking for
a substantial lifting strap/gripping product.

Haulin' Hooks Review:
I really like them for the powerlifting movements, even lat pull down, didn't seem to put as much strain on my shoulders, and allowed me to actually pull. Even cushioning helped, and really liked the extra strap, to use for extra grip. The hooks never came unhooked which in some cases is a good thing especially with power barbell shrugs.
Thanks so much for these hooks, T-Nation, I would definitely
recommend them.

Haulin' Hooks Review
Simply put, these things are awesome!
I used them for deadlift, rack pulls, and RDLs. On all lifts I was able to lift more weight than before due to grip failure.
These things are very well built! I've been searching for and have bought several grip implements and these are the best so far. I don't like traditional straps. I can never find hooks than don't bend or that fit my hand. These hooks are adjustable to the size of your hand and are strong. I have big hands and I'm using the middle position so a freaking giant could use these things. The wrist padding is great also.
I would buy these in a heartbeat! They are far better than anything I have tried. Thank you T-Nation for letting me review and keep these hooks! You guys are awesome!!

First of all I want to say thanks to T-Nation and to www.HypertrophyLLC.com for the opportunity to try these bad boys out. I have been able to use the Haulin' Hooks for two weeks now and I think I have a pretty good "grasp"
on them.
I have to admit that up until now I was always against using any gear to assist in my lifting such as straps, belts, pads, etc. I always was of the mentality of if you couldn't handle the weight "naturally" you would just have to work harder on whatever bodypart was hindering you until you could. My mind was definately changed by Haulin' Hooks.
The first day I used them I was able to do a much more rigorous set of deadlifts. Usually my hands would start to give out about half way through my 8x3. Thankfully Now I am able to focus on my form and target muscles into sets 5 and beyond rather than worry about my grip giving out which is resulting in more weight on the bars and more muscle on my back!
As far as the equipment itself, it took very little time to get used to the feel of the hooks underneath my grip. And as talked about on the products website, while doing my one arm rows I can do it open handed and focus in more on my lats which is great. I personally don't ever use the straps since I really love how well the hooks work, but just for reviews sake I gave em a whirl a few times and they work just like any other straps out there with one exception, the padding.
The padding on these things, it's another small detail that while often overlooked makes a big difference in the end. The fit is tight and comfortable and even after a full workout's use there is no discomfort thanks to the 360 degrees of closed cell padding.
They have also given you three different "heights" at which to place the hooks depending on your hand size which is another great option. I mean face it, we are all completely different shapes and sizes and some adjustability is great.
I guess to sum it all up, the people over at Hypertophy Enterprises, LLC have put together a great piece of equipment that will be able to greatly benefit everyone from the scrawniest skinny bastard to the brawniest beast. And at the price of $39.95 it's well worth the investment.
Overall I give it a 9.9
